Re: Excel links to Metastock6

I lost your earlier note re OPTIONSCOPE asking what it was good for so this is
my answer:

OPTIONSCOPE solves the pricing problem for Implied Volatility of any Option or
Index or Spread of options. OPTIONSCOPE also solves for the Greeks - Delta,
Gamma, Theta and Vega(Tau). It also solves What-If price scenarios to help you
judge the profitability of an Option position.

If you're not familiar with these terms then you should pick up a book on
Options
from your local library. Save yourself the purchase of expensive new books
on the
market as the old ones in the libraries are just as good. Also I strongly advise
that you start with paper trades if you want to play in this game; the
leverage of options
is powerful and can make big money or lose big very easily. So experience
counts.

If you are familiar with these terms then you'll also know that you need to
enter price
and date data either manually or from a market database accessible to
OPTIONSCOPE.
I enter my option candidates manually and builds an OPTIONSCOPE spreadsheet
showing all
the relevant pricing solutions. I save these spreadsheets into my Excel
application so
I can add further evaluations such as Volume of trades and Open Interest.

This answer is being sent to the MS List in case there are other
"Optioneers" out there
who link their OPTIONSCOPE to commercial option databases or have better
answers for
you.

Good luck and beware,
Stansan

 doesn't
access any market database so you'll need to enter the price and dates of
the options
manually.
