RE: [RT] trading platforms

When a brokerage firm like Interactive Brokers doubles any margin, it is not time to find a new broker; it is time to pay attention to the broker, the markets and the factors that may have prompted the brokerage firm to take such an action.

IB effectively doubled intraday (only) margin by requiring same margin as overnight. I don't find that a problem but I do not employ large intraday leverage.

Interestingly, since Interactive Brokers doubled the margin requirement for equity index futures,

Infinity sent me an email highlighting their still low $500 per contract intraday margin.

FWIW.

RB,

I had an account at Infinity for several years. I don't know about the comission rates and markets offered, but I can say that they were a good and reliable company, and that the broker handling my account, Red Adeeb, was excellent. I had a small account, and was always given first rate service.

Another brokerage, Global Futures, offers a wide variety of trading platforms. I think they are mostly available on the global Futures website as free demo versions.

Hinton

I have been looking around on the net the past few days at some Trading Platforms for intraday trading.  One that has caught my eye and seems to be something that would be good for everyone is the Infinity AT.

I was wondering if anyone here uses it and what their opinions are.  Also is there anything similar or better, from others?

Their website for some reason does not seem to have a lot of info as far as markets, commissions etc.

Does anyone here trade with Infinity brokerage?  Can you trade any and all commodity-futures markets.  Grains, Indexes, meats, cotton etc.?

What is the average commission rates for a small trader for most markets?
