I talked with IB.  They say for the YG (mini gold) you need to use a stop limit.  This will also be a first for me.

Hello Ron, Also be careful, there is a setting with a check box to
allow or not allow stops to be active outside of the day session. I
believe the default setting is for "day session only" so make sure
that setting is checked to allow for active overnight stops.
