Since Bob has offered to allow us "peddlers" to 
hawk our wares for
the next week I want to take him up on the

J.M. Hurst suggested in his The Magic of Stock 
Transaction Timing that low risk
trade points could be established by use of 
Centered Moving Averages.  Of course
we cannot get realtime CMAs since the real average 
value must be posted 1/2
the MA length back (lag) from the current 
bar.
 
There are a number of ways that are used to attempt 
to PROJECT the CMA
values to a realtime position.  Hurst actually 
suggested that we might look
back a FULL CYCLE (using a 1/2 length average) and 
see how the CMA
was moving at that time and use such movement to 
project CMA values
up to the current bar.

This is an example of how that works and in this 
case how well it worked.

This approach is far from perfect but I can assure 
you that with proper analysis
and selection of periods this is a powerful 
tool.
