I have no interest in this case, othen than to express my sympathy and to
see justice done. However, your comment about lawyers caught my attention. I
think you are much better off most of the time to work with a lawyer on a
contigency than on an hourly rate. I once hired a lawyer who tried to bill
me over $100 per hour for photocopying. In any venture, it is best to find
a way to unify the incentives of all concerned. The incentive of a lawyer
on the clock is to run up the clock. I would much prefer to pay someone
directly based on performance.
