I really do not understand this constant 
request
by people for "FREE" data (eod or 
otherwise).
 
I pay PINNACLE data for EOD data covering 
most of
the significant commodities worldwide (cost 
is very
reasonable).  What I get also covers 
most important
indices.
 
I pay WORDEN Brothers (tc2000) for daily 
stock data
and a wide variety of index data 
and it is reasonable 
(something less than 
$30/month)
 
I pay Quote.com for realtime and historical 
data and
unfortunately this is a bit more expensive 
($80/mo).
 
I also pay TradestationPro for realtime and 
historical
data while I make up my mind about QC or 
TSPro as a
way to go (about $100/mo).
 
If you can't afford to pay for the work 
that people
do to acquire and distribute data then for 
goodness
sake be satisfied with whatever you can get 
from
YAHOO.
 
I really do get upset when people are not 
willing to
pay for the very basic elements of system 
trading
which is DATA ! ! ! ! ! !
