RE: GEN Real-time Internet vs Satellite/Cable

I've been using the internet for quotes and daytrading stocks for over a year now, and it is as real time as it gets.
I did hear some complaints about Signal, I'm using PC Quote 6.0 myself, and very happy with it.

Subject:	GEN Real-time Internet vs Satellite/Cable

I had DTN feed via satellite until a couple of months ago when HOA forced me
to dump the DTN dish. I switched to DTN via cable (CSPAN2), however I
learned last night that local cable is dropping CSPAN2 on January 1. I've
got to find an alternative feed quickly and my choices are limited as I'm in
small, remote mountain village.

I've always dismissed the possibility of internet feed for reasons of
reliability, however I may not have any good alternatives. I've noted that
the real-time e-mini quotes I get via the internet are consistently current
with the e-mini market and several seconds faster than DTN cable. I'm
wondering if real-time internet quotes are generally faster/slower than
satellite? Also wondering how Signal On Line stacks up in reliability and
features for futures trading?
