Ira,

I was not scoffing. I was giving an honest assessment of the book but
perhaps my brevity gave a misleading impression. I like the fact that
things are kept simple in this book and if you have no experience of markets
or trading then you may see things of interest. But the book is merely a
commentary on one days trading that some will fine interesting but it is
nevertheless nothing more that a collection of examples on how to use
channels and momentum. I quote from the book itself "This manual is for
basic education". If you already posses some basic trading books then Mr
Trivettes work will just repeat (albeit with many more examples) what you
have read before. I have developed a more than full armoury of techniques
in my 10 years working in these markets and my point was that this book adds
nothing to that and is not worth $29. The title made me feel that it would
be a discussion of the S&P market but what is discussed could be applied to
any market. The title also refers to a "Professional look" at the S&P
market. In this too it fails. Whilst it is undoubtedly written by a
professional it does not, in my opinion give any insights useful to the
professional trader such as myself. My recommendation was to borrow the
book from the library and save your money. In fact if you sat in the
Library for 30minutes you would have the content covered and save yourself
the loan charge.

Lastly I think that anyone reading this book thinking they can trade off
1minute charts in even normal markets never mind the markets we have had for
the last 6 months will I believe be severely disappointed.

I hope that clarifies things.

Regards

Philip
