It's a pretty good idea to take the GS off line then make changes and
then bring it back on line.  One thing the GS doesn't tell you is you
do something and it may seem like it took say 2 minutes but actually
the GS may be working on it for much longer.  Open the task manager
and get an idea of performance then make a change and wait for
performance to come back to normal.  I used to only make changes to
the GS when the market was closed.  Well that doesn't happen anymore I
guess so you just need to switch to off line mode.

I have that problem when I delete symbols that are expired or some I just 
don't want.  If I don't reboot then it won't receive data or not all of it. 
Don't know what causes deleting data that mess it up other than corrupting 
the data base.
