Yup, I do the same, though I really don't need to upgrade all
that often. I never buy the hottest/fastest CPU -- I look at the
speed/price curve and buy just behind the "knee."
Though I'm tempted to replace my ASUS mobo & XP1800+ with another
board and an Intel. It'd be faster, quieter, cooler, and (unlike
the ASUS) maybe I could make the @#%# thing hibernate.
