No problem, just people are different, obviously. Years ago, when I
had just graduated from college, I scraped together all my funds and
purchased a wondrous 166MHz Pentium for a monstrous sum of $4000. A
couple of years later when I saw what the evolution in processors and
prices had brought about while I was still making my payments, I
realized that it does not make any sense to buy an expensive computer
and plan to keep it forever. The key is to stay a bit behind the
cutting edge curve and upgrade whenever the need arises. But then
again, this is me and people are different. Not sure many computer
users reinstall the OS every 6 months or so because all of the junk
that collects there and screws up the machine. However, this is just
about the computers. My wife and my car - these are for keeping
forever! ;)
