One week ago I installed MS security update for Win2K (KB841356, KB840987,
& KB841533) and within two days experienced some problems (a complete system
freeze during the night, and two days later a freeze of the copy operation
during a copy of many files to a CD).
Has anyone else experienced any problems since installing this security
update on Win2K?
I have posted an inquiry on the Tek-Tips Win2K forum and received one reply.
I've also tried to register on the WindowsForumz site but the registration
process is not completing properly (they are supposed to send me an e-mail
with instructions for completing the process, but I never get that e-mail).
When I repeat the WindowsForumz registration process, it tells me that an
account already exists for my e-mail address, proving that it has received
my registration information.
1. Can anyone recommend other good Win2K support forums?
2. Is anyone here registered at the WindowsForumz site who can offer a
suggestion on how to complete the registration? I tried to inquire via
their e-mail address, but the message is bounced back as undeliverable.
