why did TS8 erase all my indicators

The general opinion is that TS8 is much improved over TS5.

So i took one of my serious TS5 indicators to a friends 
and imported it into TS8. It's about 400 EL lines, uses 
pushpop.dll, uses some .wav files and writes text. 
Everything worked fine, we were pleased, left the 
indicator running in a window using 1 min bars and went to 
bed. Next day when my friend got up TS8 was hung. After 
rebooting all its functions/indicators/etc were no longer 
found.

Anybody advice as to what might be going on here would be 
gratefully accepted.
