Colin, Thanks again for the suggestion.  I did hear from Quotes-Plus.  With regard to historical fundamental data, Quotes-Plus sent the following below. It seems Quotes-Plus  does not have historical data for most of the fundamental data series they have listed.

1   The EPS and Revenue is available for up to 20 quarters.  The rest 
of the
fundamental data does not have any history.

2   We get the beta from our data provider.  I am not sure how they
calculate it.

3   We have around 9,000 stocks.  This includes all stocks traded on 
the
NASDAQ, AMEX and the NYSE.

I am looking for a source of historical stock data; so that for a particular
date I can call up the data for that date.

Data  such as:

Beta
shares outstanding
float; float days
mutual fund ownership
market capitalization
insider ownership %
short ratio; short days
etc
