RE: Anyone know of a Tick Data Simulator in any program format ?

PureBytes Links

Trading Reference Links

There is a historical Level II montage simulator at www.spectrenet.com.

Also its trading software Spectre Level IV includes a real time learning
mode, wherein you can enter real time trades @ the real time live markets
(limit and market orders) for any equity or ETF - and it will simulate trade
executions, including fills, timing, etc. Very neat. Hope that TS adds this
capability some day, it is a killer idea....FORWARD testing, not just back
testing.

Subject: Anyone know of a Tick Data Simulator in any program format ?

Hi TSers,
I am trying to find a free or low cost program that generates lots of
simulated tick data time series. It does not worry me what format it is
written in (e.g. XL, C, C++, Matlab, SAS, S-Plus, etc) and it is not
important what the simulation process is. I just require something that
pumps outs lots of tick data which I can access for collection.
