Don,

Well it appears that there is no one email client that will satisfy
everyone... and because of this I've adpoted a strategy that should be of
use to everyone. If you can't decide on a particular client AND your ISP
supports it... try using IMAP mail.

IMAP leaves your messages on the ISP's server and accesses them remotely.
Because you aren't downloading the mail to your local machine, the mail
messages are safe, and not dedicated to any one particular mail agent.
If you go with Microsoft Outlook for example, you're stuck because there
isn't a convenient way to export your mail out of Outlook to another
client. IMAP mail let's you move to better email clients as they are
developed. Using IMAP mail I can read my mail from Microsoft Outlook, or
from Linux mailers as it suits me.

Reading my mail from Linux let's me bypass a lot of these Microsoft
targeting viruses that are going around.
