Cursor Jumps

I know this question has been answered before, but it will take me a week to 
find it in the archives. 

 I just got Win2000 running TS4.  But when the data feed is connected to the 
serial port, the cursor jumps around like crazy when the system is booted.

Does anyone remember the fix for this ?   I suspect the NT fix will do .
