In most instances I'd agree with you on this, TeeTee Man.  But to be fair,
in this case he was just playing the odds...such as they are.

I now understand what it is that bothers me so much about these jokers who
cry "Bug!" whenever they don't understand something.  It isn't just that
they fail to do their homework, or that they're incorrect in their bug
accusation.
 It's that you can't believe a word they say.  They cry "Bug!" and, lo and
behold, when they figure things out they end up eating their words...  It's
a credibility issue.
