Reading the comments about the features in the latest Omega products, it
strikes me that Omega is much like Microsoft in that they deliver lots of
half-done capabilities, promise lots of future enhancements and
flexibility, but actually deliver mediocre, buggy software that never
lives up to the promises.
This is great for padding your bottom line but eventually disenfranchizes
your customers and drives them to other products. The best way to build a
customer base is through quality products, sold at a decent price and
supported by a caring customer support staff.
Companies like Microsoft and Omega tend to brutalize the customer into
compliance with "dongles", licencing restrictions and strongarm
marketing tactics, when instead they should be building customer loyalty.
