Omega Issues

I have been reading some of the complaints for TS2000i and agree
with of the
CPU usage issues - it really does drain your cpu.
I was also surprised to see that you dont get alerts with charts in
your portfolio
unless you have all of them open on the workspace (why does this
have to be coded this way?
Why cant you just select the ones you want to be alarmed on via the
Globalserver??)

But by far the biggest issue for me was the whole Globalserver in
the first place. When is
Omega going to realize that Data-on-demand is what everyone else is
going for... and for
a very good reason... People want it. I hate having to "collect"
data everyday and if the
service goes down for ten minutes - you have to collect the data for
each symbol which
in itself takes forever. Applications such as "Ravenquotes" are
already taking this
feature (integrate with quote.com data on demand) and adding
backtesting etc

I have seen alot of applications do the same thing over and over..
they keep adding
so many things to it that they forget to make it fast and efficient
first before you add
all the frills. In the world of competition and pricing... I feel
if you dont shape up
fast enough - you tend to get left behind... and unfortunately so do
your customers
