Personally, I think that unless you are running a large database or want to
set up a RAID system, SCSI is overkill. Today's EIDE is plenty fast,
especially with the new UDMA and onboard cache the large drives have. IDE
drives and controllers are a lot cheaper and get the job done quite well.

Subject: SCSI drives

Time for a new computer and I'm considering getting 2 SCSI drives rather
than Ultra ATA/EIDE.

I'll be running Win2000.

Any pitfalls I should be aware of?

Is the increased access time, etc., worth any extra hassle, cost?

Thanks!
