I think the answer to this is "No, there is no automated way in TS to add
symbols that are listed in an ASCII data file."  I almost got something
working using winbatch (www.winbatch.com), but eventually abandoned
the effort entirely.  The problem was that the winbatch compiler is
expensive ($495) and I had little other need for it.  By the way,
I should confirm that Omega Research confirmed my conclusion there
was no way to drive symbol input from an ASCII file, and they
warned me that they discouraged the use of keystroke capture or
simulation programs.
