Re: errors on historybank download data

This morning - as with many mornings unfortunately - my Global Server
crashed. I had only 2 workspaces open with 4 charts. I then attempted to
open 2 more workspaces and the GS crashed. Half the charts had one
indicator running.
I don't have much hair but I'm sure pulling out the last strands !! The
first advice I got from Omega support was "get NT". They then gave me some
more immediate and practical advice which was to do several things to free
up memory - I have 192 meg Ram, 333Celleron and 10gig HD, not exactly under
powered.
I now have almost nothing running in the background so the resources are
almost all for TS and the GS and I'm still getting crashes. I keep hearing
that many people are experiencing similar problems. I would like to hear if
this really is a widespread problem and also if anyone has advice as to how
to overcome it. I seem to spend more time messing with my computer than
trading and it's costing me big time.
