Dear Ron
You have chosen to become personal rather than talk about issues (Tom is
guilty also). Thus I believe that your use of the word "contempt" is
misguided and inappropriate with the caveat that you are correct on one
point: I do have contempt for BS.
Since you seem to thrash about on how wonderful Tom is, let me turn the
question back over to you. How much of a "potential learning opportunity,"
to use your words, is a non-systematic, open-ended template and collection
of thoughts on, for example, TD_Rebo...???
And please tell us for the record (love to hear from Tom on this too) how
does one justify TRADEMARKING something which is not defined?? Upon several
attempts to get Tom and other list members to define TD Rebo, I was provided
with no more information than I received from the book.
I have maintained that the book, and certainly this section of it, was more
of a well disguised advertising piece for a set of TD indicators rather than
any sincere attempt at expanding the body of knowledge regarding "timing
techniques" as the title of the book alludes. Perhaps it has not been
brought to your attention the fact that the book offers = with no
explanation = a set of "selection options" for TD Rebo. What was the intent
of providing this information? Please tell us.
For the record, I have stated publicly in this forum that I hold no
animosity or grudges towards Mr. DeMark personally (esp since i received
both of his books for free and have never purchased anything with his TD on
it). I quite respect him if for no other reason than he is older than I and
he has certainly seen and done more in this business than I have. He is
very very good at self-promotion.
My best guess is that you will be disappointed if you continue to believe
that a holy-grail exists. You seem to be very focussed on this and that is
why I offer you my opinion.
