DBC Signal Data Outages

Mr. Johnson -

I'm sorry to bother you again, but the problem of Signal data outages is
increasing and is approaching an intolerable level.

I would like to get a detailed, technical explanation of the cause(s) of
these outages and of the measures being taken by DBC, if any, to avoid
reoccurrences in the future. The time for renewal of my subscription is
approaching and I must decide if I wish to continue with DBC.

I feel that I will need to speak directly with a technician
knowledgeable in these areas if I am to get a full understanding -
having you or a designate act as a conduit to relay the information to
me from someone else will almost certainly not work. So, will you
please either give me a direct telephone number of someone who can
discuss this matter with me, or have such a person give me a call at
(949) 586-5673?

This morning data on S&P futures was out from 7:01 a.m. PDT until 07:24
and then intermittently until 07:35. Also, the DJIA was out from 06:42
until 07:01, from 07:28 until 07:32, and from 07:36 until 07:43. A
check with my broker (using CQG) during the S&P outage confirmed that
the S&P was still trading and he was receiving data. If his service can
receive and distribute the data, then DBC should be able to do so also.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Sincerely,

Carroll Slemaker
