Re; YEAR 2000 PROBLEM

Anyone using TS 4.0 can try the following:

Add the DaysToExpiration indicator to =any= chart. Fool
around with editing the EXPMONTH and EXYEAR inputs. Entering
01 as the month and 99 as the year should yield 405 which is
the correct number. Entering 01 as the month and 00 as the
year will, of course, return -35750 because that's how many
days there have been since around the third week of January,
1900. Someone posted a message stating that TS uses the
Julian calendar which counts from a certain date, therefore,
no problem. Great, unless you want an accurate count =after=
12/31/99.

FWIW, the following is a statement from the website of Aspen
Research (looks like they're a bit more prepared than
Omega):

<<Of course, the external representation of time and date is
equally as important. All Aspen Graphics products support
the use of four-digit year codes in both output presentation
and input interpretation. Time and date values are converted
to and from human-readable form with no ambiguity or loss in
accuracy.<<

At this point, does anyone need more proof that a problem
=definitely= exists WRT TS 4.0???????

Best regards,
Jim
