I did try the Ref function but the results did not come close to matching the books results. My thinking (which I freely admit may be flawed here) is that on the first bar when you Ref -1 or -2 the results will be zero for those and so the next bars results will be incorrect. My assumption is that since the Ref function starts with an error, this error is carried on through out the chart.
 
It seems to me that I may need to save different variables to make this work. Maybe 1 for the first bar, another for the second bar and another for the thrid bar and then somehow string them together for the correct formula.
 
I don't know if I am explaining this very well but I do appreciate your suggestion.
