interbank trading desks. That is, prices change whenever the banks
trade. <FONT face=Arial
color=#0000ff size=2>Until a trade goes through after 5:00:00pm New York time,
there is no "Open" price to report. Indeed some currencies actually take a
few hours after the 5pm New York time to even register a
trade.

color=#0000ff size=2>Some live data feeds will show you a "bid" price but this
only represents that individual dealing desk. There are often significant
differences between a dealing desk's bid/ask spread and what the rest of the
market actually trades at (this is one of the reasons that some forex intraday
bid charts have very long and volatile high/low levels whereas others look far
less volatile)

today's Open the same as yesterday's Close.My forex data shows gaps from
Close to Open, so I guess they take a different view of Open/Close
