If equis conytacts ebay and says you are violating
its copyrights, ebay will ban your auction and even your account. Doenst matter
if its unreal, and you have and original unopened program, ebay will take the
developer side.
Whats striking is not a matter of killing second
hand market, the thing is they want to kill the internet sales unless you are
offical dealer

FAMILY="SANSSERIF">Hi:eBay will accept software for sale if you meet
all of their written conditions.  Microsoft does the same thing as
MetaStock/Equis, and bans the sale of their products to protect against
pirated software.  However, many Microsoft products do sell on eBay and
all those that I've seen whose items remain listed to end of auction have a
statement to the effect that the software offered for sale meets all of eBay's
conditions, and then states the conditions.  They don't ban the sale just
because it is Microsoft, or MetaStock for that matter.  If you read the
detail conditions in the email that eBay sent out, and then follow those
conditions, you can sell your software.I'm not a defender of Equis,
but do have experience on eBay.  Equis/MetaStock has gone downhill
considerably in relation to user needs since it was purchased by
Reuters.  (I've been a MetaStock customer since the blue screen version
1.something running under DOS.)  Yet, every time Microsoft rolls out a
new operating system, like it or not, MetaStock has to respond with a new
piece of software that will run on it.  This is true for all major
  software.Jay
