Printing in Windows is accomplished by the Video Driver telling the Printer
Driver what it sees and the Printer driver printing it on the page. In all
probability a Windows 95 printer driver will work fine in Windows 98.

However if it doesn't it is possible the video driver is not fully
compatible. Try changing your Video Settings as follows:

Click Start|Settings|Control Panel.

Double-click the System icon.

Click the Performance tab.

Click the Graphics button.

Drag the Hardware Acceleration pointer to None and click OK. Window may ask
you to restart. If so answer yes and restart.

Start MetaStock and print.

If this doesn't help make sure you are not running another program in the
background that could interfere with our programs. You do this in Windows
as follows:

Start Windows.

Press <CTRL>+<ALT>+<DELETE>, to display the Close Program menu.

Disable all programs except Explorer. You disable a program by highlighting
the program on the Close Program menu and clicking the End Task button.
When you select End Task the Close Program menu will disappear. Press
<CTRL>+<ALT>+<DELETE> again and repeat this procedure until the only program
running is Explorer. Note: some of the programs do not end the first time.
You may have to select End Task a few times to remove some of your programs
from your Close Program menu.

When Explorer is the only program listed on the Close Program menu click
Start|Programs|Control Panel.

Double-click the Display icon.

Click the Settings tab.

Click the Advanced Properties button.

Click the Change button on the Adapter tab.

Select Show all devices in the lower left corner of the menu.

Make a note of the Manufacturer and Model you are currently highlighting in
Windows, so you can return to these settings if this doesn't work. Then
scroll to the top of the manufacturer list and highlight (Standard Display
Types). Also highlight Standard Display Adapter (VGA) on the Models side.

Click OK to save these changes. Close each open menu. Windows may ask you
to restart. If so answer yes and restart.

Start MetaStock and print. If this works contact the manufacturer of your
video card and get the most current version of the video driver.

If this does not work it means the printer driver is not fully compatible.
Contact the printer manufacturer and get a different version of the driver
for your printer. This could mean an older version of the printer driver or
the absolute newest version of the printer driver. When it comes to printer
drivers the only way to identify which version of the printer driver is the
correct version is to try several versions until you find the one that
works.
