I have a Win7 64bit system with 8Gb and have been trying to get Amibroker 64 (version 5.22) to run on a 5.8 Gb database in memory. I set both max memory and max symbols to their respective max values (4000Mb and 20,000).

Unfortunately, Amibroker stops increasing its memory foot-print (private bytes) somewhere around 2.9Gb and as a result always reads the database from disk during backtests.

Can anyone confirm that they have been able to run Amibroker 64 on large datasets in memory? I am actually interested in using databases around 20Gb and will increase my RAM appropriately if I know it will speed things up.

Thanks in advance.
Steve
