Hello,

Item is just the single element of the collection (the object).

You see there are "standard" properties/methods of any collection.
These standard methods are
Count
Item
Add
Remove
the last two are standard but optional (if items can be added/removed)

The Item is also a DEFAULT property that is used when you don't
specify. It gives the access to the object.

So for example (JScript)

AB = new ActiveXObject("Broker.Application");

firststock = AB.Stocks(1);  // THIS

firststock = AB.Stocks(1).Item; // IS EQUIVALENT TO THIS
