That worked good for me.  I selected the tickers that I wanted from 
Excel and pasted them into Notepad.  Then I did the "Save as..." and 
named it Sample.tls  This worked for me.  Now I can build what I am 
after.

Yahoo worked fine for downloading large chunks of price history.  
I'm after US stocks right now.

I guess there is a cleanup function which will take care of 
delistings for us.  We will have to manually do ticker symbol 
changes, IPOs, and new listings which moved from a different stock 
exchange.  I guess you can avoid this labor by subscribing to TC2000 
or Quotes Plus.  That's not an option I'm interested in right now.  
I pay for data elsewhere, and I don't want to pay for the "same" 
data twice.
