1. Yes, the default moving averages are "simple" ones. 
Selectable average types will be implemented 
in the next version of AmiBroker (3.4)
2. Unfortunatelly, with current version of AmiBroker it 
is not possible to modify properties of moving averages displayed in the main 
price chart. You can only define your custom "indicator" that will show price 
line chart and exponential moving averages.

as simple type. Selectable by a check box perhaps.
