TS6 -v- TS2000i automation

>From the posts to the omegalist that I've read it's my assumption that
TS2000i has automation features that TS6 doesn't. For example, I want to
parse 1400+ symbols to discover the difference between their price on a
given date, and today's price. Can TS2000i do that? And if it's a cumber
some process and not so automated, can anyone suggest a way to automate
this.
