Tax Question: Excel Sheet & Turbo Tax Import?

Hello,

1) I remember reading some people using Excel to keep track of trades, and summarizing the net P/L into the tax form. Can someone who has done this send an example Excel sheet?

2) If I have plain text data (for example export from Excel), does anyone know how to import into Turbo Tax?  How to deal with shorts?  How to deal with wash sale?
