If it helps anybody, these are my findings with the chart flickering issue.
I noticed that when you plot a chart using the symbol/s scale setup as
"Screen" (which BTW is the default), the chart flickers and flickers more
with rapid updates (when the stock is actively trading). However the chart
does not flicker (or maybe the flicker is not noticeable) when you set up
the symbol as "Entire Data Series" and all indicators as "Same As Symbol".
This setup also eliminates or minimizes the distortion of the chart during
scrolling across back and forth. Now this type of plotting may not
accentuate the price movement / indicator curves as nicely as the "Screen"
setup. I decided that I would bear with the flickers as I like the "curves"
(no pun intended!) and played with the color setup which has helped dampen
the flickers and made eight of my monitors, setup for charting, more
readable. I can share my color and font setup if anybody is interested.
