into Excel

Is there any method, utility, coding that can gather live data / ticks into
Excel to make a table of say timestamps and price, which could the be
charted, or with two markets a live spread chart could be made?

Here, in Australia, with Marketcast, which I believe is a U.S. product, we
have a DDE linker to return live prices etc. But this doesn't help with
collating any of the days data.
