New TS6 features

I have downloaded the latest version of TS6 this week and have had a chance
to verify the following new features.
1) auto-execution-Completely automatic order execution. I have used it for
exiting positions only. It works and works good. It doesn't place the order
until your price is hit. The market maker then, obviously, can't see it.

2) non-display of your order and extended precision. You can outbid the best
price by a fraction of a penny and keep your order hidden. It works for a
while until others get hip to it and raise their bid(in slow moving
markets).

Below are all of the new features( I couldn't find a link on their website)
as listed in a TRAD document that was sent to me.

TradeStation 6 Update 3.2 (Build 519) 2/20/02

TradeStation Automated Trading

Ø Automated Trading - When automating the execution of your strategies
with TradeStation you can now bypass the confirmation dialog to fully
automate your strategy trading. When applying a Strategy, simply check the
"Automate equities execution" check box and set the confirmation to "Off"
from the Format Strategy dialog, to fully automate your strategy trading

TradeStation Desktop

Ø Name Change - "TradeStation 6" is the new name for the application
previously known as "The TradeStation Platform"

Ø System Resource Warning - For optimal reliability when using Windows
95/98/Me, we have added a warning message to appear when the available
system resources falls below 7%. This setting can be changed in the Desktop
Preferences dialog accessed from the File menu.

Ø Compatibility with Windows XP
Ø Added the 'Show / Hide the Order Bar' icon to the default toolbars

TradeStation Order Bar

Ø NOW Orders - New Advanced feature that offers increased execution
speed by routing limit orders to ECNs only, bypassing all market makers

Ø Added support for 4 decimal pricing with BRUT and 3 decimal pricing
with ISLD that will provide the ability to place an order that is better
than the market by an even smaller fraction

Ø Made an enhancement so that when closing a position from a Position
Graph using 'Customize', it will default to the 'Day' duration if the order
is placed during normal market hours, otherwise it will default to 'Day+'

Ø Renamed DOT to SuperDOT

TradeStation Account Manager & Strategy Tracking

Ø Added a new 'Strategy Positions' tab in the Account Manager &
Strategy Tracking window. In this tab users can see whether a strategy is
long, short or flat for each chart running a strategy. In addition, users
who automate their strategies can quickly see any discrepancies between
their simulated and real positions.

Ø Added a new Historical Orders tab with the ability to view your
historical trade activity. Until now, TradeStation only displayed your
current orders; with this release you will now have the ability to review
your previous trading activity.

Ø Added 'Uncleared Deposits' to the statistics tab - When you send in
a check you will now be able see when the check has cleared and when the
funds are available for trading

Ø Made a change to not update the Profit/Loss if the bid is greater
than the ask
Ø Renamed DOT to SuperDOT
Ø Added a default sound for 'Order Filled' to use "order filled.wav"

TradeStation Chart Analysis

Ø Changed the restriction on 'Space to the Right' from 500 to 999 bars
Ø Changed the multi-fractional price scale display so that the number
of 32nds will always be two digits
Ø Added functionality to cancel a data request when the historical
data is not available for the requested date range. This will prevent the
Chart Analysis window from sitting in the "Waiting For Data" state when the
requested historical data is not available

Ø Improved the handling of Internet outages - Whenever a customer
would lose connectivity to the Internet, TradeStation would re-request and
recalculate all of charts once the connection was reestablished. There will
now be a 2-minute period in which a customer's connection can be down, and
TradeStation will recover without having to re-request and recalculate the
data for all of the charts.

Ø Improved correction logic - Corrections can now be pushed to the
customer on a symbol-by-symbol basis, and for a specific date and time
range. By maintaining the unaffected cache, the Chart Analysis window will
no longer need to re-request all of the data from the servers, resulting in
the faster reloading of the data following a correction

Ø Improved the daily bar updating logic - Corrections to a daily bar's
open, high, low, or close that are sent after market hours will
automatically be reflected in the chart

TradeStation Quotes

Ø Changed the multi-fractional price scale display so that the number
of 32nds will always be two digits

TradeStation Level II

Ø Added the new, '+', identifier, to signify the ECNs that are
classified as Full Participants in SuperSoes. ECNs classified as
Order-entry ECNs will use the '#' identifier.

TradeStation Time & Sales

Ø Changed the multi-fractional price scale display so that the number
of 32nds will always be two digits

TradeStation Ticker

Ø Changed the multi-fractional price scale display so that the number
of 32nds will always be two digits

o Order Bar Basics
o Charting and Analysis Techniques
o Charting Basics
o Message Center
o Ticker Bar

Ø Made enhancements to the Help menu and the Help section of the
Shortcut Bar by changing 'Help Topics' to 'Contents and Index', and adding a
new item called 'Search for Help on...'
