2000i on a P4 and GeForce 2MX video card

I have just installed 2000i on a Pentium 4 with a Geforce MX video card.
Every thing seems to work fine except that I cannot alter the thickness of
bars or trendlines.  
Has anybody else come across this problem

I use 1024X 1280 resolution and the screen is a Hitachi colour LCD monitor
CML170SXW 
Only the thinnest line works.
