If TS is unusually slow make sure that the data files in TS are not
compressed by the operating system. Right click on
the file in the explorer ->properties. Just happend to me by
accident.
It helps to change the color of compressed files in the explorer
View->Options so one sees the compressed files quickly.
Data files should never be compressed.
