Announced in May 1997, Terminal Server Edition is a joint development effort
between Microsoft and Citrix Systems Inc. that gives customers the ability
to host multiple, simultaneous client sessions on the Windows NT Server 4.0
operating system and on *** future versions of Windows.*** By providing a
thin-client solution in which applications are executed on the server and
remotely displayed on the client, Terminal Server Edition enables a whole
new segment of users to take advantage of the breadth of Windows-based
applications available today.
