DDE, now there's an idea

This list has made me feel better about buying supercharts.

I am intrigued by this note:
"DDE into excel from supercharts 4"
is this for real?
          I always thought that was impossible.

Please someone, tell me how...
       Just get me started in the right direction, there's nothing I can
find in the help file or those wonderfully detailed manuals (irony).
