What difference does it make? Even if you "donate" the data, and the disk space is "donated", the bandwidth is still going to cost the person who hosts it.
Why do you not host the historical data on a low cost website and allow people to update it everyday, using the yahoo group free of charge service http://in.groups.yahoo.com/group/bse-nse2005/

I have MS format data of NSE (India) stocks from 2000. Also have NSE
Index data from 1992. I want to share it for use of anybody interested.
If anybody can provide free web space, I can donate the data. As NSE do
not claim any cost for this data, these data will be given completely
free, the only condition is that, the web site should also provide this
data free of cost. I convert this data using the MAGICAL convertion tool
of Md. Ilyas Mansoor.
