Re: [EquisMetaStock Group] [BATCH ADDING SYMBOLS] in DOWNLOADER?

Thanks Dusant, for the detailed reply. However, I am
not sure if we both understand what I am trying to
accomplish, so I followed your steps, and took it as
far as I can go.

Attached see auto.sym

What I want to do, is have it so The Downloader, will
use this file, as a means to download data for all
those symbols, without me having to manually add them
to a MASTER FILE.

I have the symbols, but The Downloader will want
dates, a date to start from. I am not sure how to
accomplish this.

To add symbols manually is way too slow. Imagine, if
you want to add the SP500, you have to add 500 stocks
manually? What if you want to add 3000 stocks? It is
easy to get a list of stocks in ASCII... I just need
to get them so I can use it along with the Downloader.
I have ASCII symbols lists, now I need a Metastock
Master file from it. Say, from a starting date, of
January 1, 2000.

Attached is AUTO.SYM

I looked in The Downloader, but did not see a way on
how I could take AUTO.SYM, into a Master File, for
downloading from a specified date.

What do you think?
