Thanks guys for yr responses - It wasn't a disappointment going to the right group. I am one of that newbie - who just signs off at the seminars - you know!
I got MetaStock Pro + Reuters' Datalink for 1 yr contract! I need to double check, but so far I am disappointed by Reuter's feed and even downloader as it's a big CPU hog!
Based on the suggestions made, I could go on possibly several route -
1> Kick Reuter's out and go to some other data feed provider, eSignal, Medved, or even yahoo. I shall get more details on each today.
2> I like the formula provided by Jose for date checking.
One more question - Metastock Pro does not provide complete programming control, has anyone use it with "external libraries" and if yes, what are the requirements etc? Does anyone has any detail on it?
