Have you tried tech
support? The numbers you enter should not change, calculated values may be
almost anything depending on the precision and the
algorithm.

Back in the 60's a
computer engineer at the National Bureau of Standards ran a test on several
computers using a set of different algorithms. It was solving 3 equations
in 3 unknowns, and x=y=z=1. I forget the details but some machines
gave  poor results, and some algorithms were consistently better than
others.

The problems you
mention sound like the Microsoft program that the Dept of Energy was using to
monitor fissile materials.

[Metastockusers] Re: Optimization ValuesThanks for the
thoughts Lionel.I am seeing this in the min, max, step values for the
optimization.Same place I have used the numbers before in prior versions,
but now I am getting a string instead of the value I enter.  No
calculations are occurring...I should be getting the same value that I
enter, but am not.Interesting.Bob--- In
