If you go to the Global Symbol Lookup you will see
that these indices are only provided on a delayed basis and are not in the
historical data base. So you can view the daily value, but there is no
historical data. When you look up a symbol and it does not indicate
that a chart is available then there is no historical
data.

Subject: Currency quotes?
Where do you get your currency quotes from? I tried
^XDM for (Deutsche Mark - US-Dollar)
and ^XJY for (Jap. Yen -
US-Dollar)in the same way I download my historical/EOD quotes from
Yahoo!, using DownloadCenter 3.09 Build 8F. While all stock quotes are
collected, none of the currencies will be downloaded. What goes
wrong?Any help/ideas appreciated,Bodo
