May   I misread your problem. I suggest a call to 3Com for help. At
www.helmig.com , you can find  a lot of help on configuring. I found
this site by searching "home networking". I run 2 computers through a
Linksys hub with no problems. Also, a product similar to LapLink may
help; look at "helmig.com/j_helmig/usbmain.htm" for a direct cable
connection using serial. parallel or usb poets.
