Thank you, John, for the reply.

Another reader also sent me this privately:

"You may use DDE-link between Excel spreadsheet and E-Signal. Take a
  look in SigTools.hlp file that came with e-signal package."

The latter may work better for me, since I would like the Excel page to be
updated **in real time**, with 5 minute
Nasdaq 100 futures data.
